Ethno Cyprus 2023

Ethno Cyprus 2023 gathered 20 young musicians from Jordan, Portugal, Italy, Georgia, Germany, France, Denmark, Greece, and Cyprus in Limassol for an unforgettable week of musical exchange. Organized by the Euro-Arab Youth Music Centre in collaboration with the Municipality of Limassol’s “Multi-Coloured Music” programme, the event took place from November 20 to 27, 2023.

As part of Jeunesses Musicales International’s global Ethno programme, the camp focused on intercultural learning through peer education in traditional music. Participants taught and learned songs by ear, embracing the rich diversity of folk traditions from around the world.

The festival culminated in a vibrant final concert on November 26 at the “Ploutis Servas” Municipal Centre, showcasing the collaborative spirit and musical talents of the young artists.

Ethno Cyprus 2023 was more than just a musical event; it was a celebration of cultural diversity, mutual respect, and the universal language of music.
